Why SOLRITE?
A new standard has emerged for Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), and Solrite Energy is leading the charge. According to a December 2025 report by EnergyHub, detailed in PV Magazine, the future of the grid relies on VPPs that are "indistinguishable from peaker plants." This capability is defined as Level 4 Maturity: a status where residential solar-plus-storage systems operate with the same precision, telemetry, and reliability as traditional fossil fuel infrastructure.
The VPP Maturity Model
EnergyHub's recently released "VPP Maturity Model" ranks distributed energy systems from Level 0 to Level 4. Most current competitors hover between Level 1 and 2. Solrite's partnership with sonnen allows us to target the elite Level 4 designation.
Level 0 (Basic DR): Manual switches, one-way communication (e.g., A/C cycling).
Level 2 (Enhanced): Automated response to price signals, but often lacks precise locational control.
Level 4 (Grid-Adaptive): Solrite Target. Fully autonomous, continuous operation. Delivers bulk and distribution-level services. Capable of passing the "Huels Test" (indistinguishable from a gas plant).
