The system is performing well, and I’ve seen my electricity bills drop significantly. ​The Virtual Power Plant (VPP) setup is the highlight for me; it intelligently manages grid usage, and the proactive backup power has already come in handy during some rough Texas weather. My only advice to others is to be sure you fully understand the PPA structure versus owning the system outright, as it’s a long-term service agreement rather than a traditional purchase. I highly recommend the PPA program. ​Customer support has been responsive, and the system is largely 'set it and forget it.' If you’re looking to lower your energy costs and want some peace of mind with battery backup without the massive upfront investment, this is definitely worth looking into.”

“I have had my system for four months and have used it four times due to the power instability in my area Nothing beats having backup power when you need it. Their install and technician partners do wonderful work. I would say go over your system prior to installation thoroughly and make sure that the HVAC system is included as they will have to take special steps and design process to get this done. I was being way overcharged by TXU for my energy, so an affordable price from the abundance energy partner was certainly appreciated. When looking at other reviews, please keep in mind that there was a group in Houston representing themselves to be installers for Solrite and they were not. — Also, there was a period of time when there was a shortage of parts and labor, and that caused some delays.. The technicians that have been to my property have a great work ethic and have left the property in better condition than they found it. I have an older home and the crew rolled up their sleeves and reworked my breaker box so that it could handle the backup battery. I recommend without any hesitation whatsoever.”

“07/15/2025 Update: Solrite Energy have worked to make this right by reimbursing us for 3 months, due to delays in getting us a Retail Electric Provider (REP). We have finally been able to sign up with Abundance Energy as our Solrite-approved REP as of 7/7/25. When we canceled with our current REP, we were charged a $307.40 termination fee. Solrite was kind enough to give us a $307.40 bill credit on our account to compensate us for this fee. I have updated my review to a 4-star rating because I am still waiting to receive my first bill from Abundance Energy to determine if this solar plus storage system will really be saving us money on our monthly bill, in practice. I will post another update soon.”

“I can't believe I get free battery backup power And the grid is going to pay for it that's amazing wish a company like this could have done this years ago When my sister got her system. I got a $0.12 rate and 40 kW of backup battery I've had other companies try to sell me batteries with my own money and it was only a 10 kW battery but I would have had a $0.22 rate which would have been ridiculous and She warned me after she got it not to do solar without backup batteries Without the backup batteries the utilities charge for any power that you need at night. Even if she produced Enough power during the day To cover the power she needed at night because they delivered it back.They charged a lot for that glad I waited for this program these high rates and high delivery fees have been killing me And on top of that, if my power goes out I still have power for days and I'm paying a lot less than she is. Wish I could get her system switched over to this program.”
