The 19¢/kWh figure reflects the blended cost of solar stored during the day and used during peak evening hours under the Solar + Battery VPA agreement. Equipment is owned and maintained by SOLRITE. Available across PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E territories. Subject to VPP Program Addendum.
Built for the
new California rules.

Storage-first under NEM 3.0
Solar exports under NEM 3.0 are worth a fraction of what they used to be. Your Duracell battery captures the daytime surplus and uses it during 4–9 PM peak hours, exactly when grid power is most expensive.
PSPS-ready backup
Public Safety Power Shutoffs aren't going away. When PG&E, SCE, or SDG&E cut power for fire safety or storm response, your Duracell battery takes over in a few seconds, no transfer switch fumbling, no generator startup.
19¢/kWh, locked in
Most California IOU peak rates are 50¢/kWh and climbing. Your Duracell battery shifts daytime solar into the 4–9 PM window where it offsets the most expensive grid power, bringing your energy rate down to 19¢/kWh.

NEM 3.0, in plain English
Solar without storage barely works anymore.
Under NEM 2.0, exporting your daytime solar to the grid earned roughly the retail rate, ~30¢/kWh. That math made solar-only systems pencil. Under NEM 3.0 (April 2023+), exports earn closer to 5¢/kWh on average. The economics flipped: solar without storage barely makes sense anymore.
The fix isn't more panels. The fix is a battery sized to hold your daytime surplus and discharge it during peak-rate evening hours. SOLRITE installs a Duracell Max Hybrid system sized between 20 and 45 kWh, matched to your home's actual load.
And here's the catch with buying outright: lithium batteries typically last around 10 years in good conditions. Self-purchased solar plus storage often does not save enough to cover that replacement before the battery needs swapping. The SOLRITE VPA sidesteps that entirely. Equipment, install, monitoring, and any battery replacements during the 25-year agreement are all on us.

Wildfire and PSPS resilience
The grid turns off,
the lights stay on.
Public Safety Power Shutoffs have hit Californians hundreds of times since 2019, sometimes for hours, sometimes for days. Wildfire season alone is responsible for the majority of multi-day outages in the state.
When the grid drops, your Duracell battery takes over in a few seconds. Lights, refrigerator, well pump, internet, whatever's on your essential circuit stays on. No generator priming. No transfer switch fumbling. Most homes don't notice the grid went down until they get the alert.
