Custom solar for your Bakersfield roof

Bakersfield gets about 6.6 to 7.1 peak sun hours a day, some of the strongest sun in California. Your solar covers daytime power, charges the Duracell battery with the surplus, and starts lowering your bill the day it is energized.

Battery backup, Valley-heat grade

Stored energy stays in your Duracell battery for peak evening hours and the next PG&E PSPS shutoff. When Central Valley heat pushes past 110°F and the AC runs all day, your home keeps running.

19¢/kWh, storage-first

Under NEM 3.0, exported solar earns only 5 to 8¢/kWh. Your Duracell battery stores the daytime surplus and discharges it during peak evening hours, offsetting PG&E's most expensive power and bringing your blended rate to about 19¢/kWh.

Why it works in Bakersfield

PG&E rates keep climbing.
NEM 3.0 killed solar-only.

PG&E bundled rates average roughly 39¢/kWh in 2026 and keep rising, and a new fixed charge of about $24/mo started in March 2026. Meanwhile NEM 3.0 pays only 5 to 8¢/kWh for the solar you export, so panels alone barely move the bill anymore.

The SOLRITE system is battery-first. Your solar charges a 20 to 45 kWh Duracell battery during the day, and that stored energy runs your home through the expensive evening hours instead of getting exported for pennies. That brings your blended energy rate to about 19¢/kWh, all with $0 upfront.

Central Valley heat & PSPS shutoffs

118°F summers.
Wildfire power shutoffs.

Bakersfield sits in the hottest, driest part of the Central Valley. In 2024 the mercury ran from 105 to 118°F and an extended heat warning stretched through July 10, with AC load spiking exactly when the grid is most strained. On top of that, PG&E runs Public Safety Power Shutoffs for wildfire safety, cutting power for hours or days at a time.

A SOLRITE home rides through it. When the grid drops, your Duracell battery takes over in a few seconds, and during daytime outages your abundant Valley sun keeps recharging it. No generator, no gas runs, no scramble. Just power that stays on and AC that keeps you cool.
